The groundbreaking ceremony for HKUST’s Medical Education and Research Complex was held on the Clear Water Bay Campus, which will provide advanced facilities and resources for medical education and research. The eight-storey complex, equipped with cutting-edge facilities that support technology-enabled teaching and learning, is expected to be completed by mid-2028.

The construction contract for the Link Bridge for Barrier Free Access connecting between Martin Ka Shing Lee Innovation Building (IB) and Lee Shau Kee Campus has been awarded and works on site will commence shortly. The site is located at the open area next to the escalators connecting to the LSK Business Building and the open area adjacent to IB (as indicated Orange in the map).

With the ongoing construction works for the development of the High Performance Computational Facility located near the seafront, the elevated link bridge adjacent to the construction site will be temporarily closed to ensure the safety of all campus users as the construction works progress. Alternative route to access the Tsang Shiu Tim Sports Center and Ocean Research Facility is available.

The University Council has approved the construction of the School of Medicine Building on campus. The enabling works for the building will commence shortly. The site is located west of the Cheng Yu Tung (CYT) Building and north of the Shaw Auditorium.

The construction contract for the New Research Building 2 has been awarded and works on site will commence shortly. The site is located at the southern side of the campus, situated west of the Lo Ka Chung Building (IAS). Parking facilities in the vicinity will be closed, while additional parking spaces have been made available adjacent to the Cheng Yu Tung Building.
