The University Council has approved the construction of the School of Medicine Building on campus. The enabling works for the building will commence shortly. The site is located west of the Cheng Yu Tung (CYT) Building and north of the Shaw Auditorium.

We anticipate that the overall construction will be completed by mid-2028. Please be advised that temporary traffic management measures will be implemented during the construction period. Proper directional signs will be placed at relevant locations to ensure the safety of all campus users. In addition, existing parking facilities within the construction site will be closed once additional parking spaces next to the CYT Building and Zone H of the academic building become available by the end of 2025.

During construction, some noise and dust may be generated. Mitigation measures will be implemented to minimize the impact on the campus community. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience regarding any temporary inconvenience caused by this essential project. Please be assured that every effort will be made to minimize disruptions.
