We are pleased to announce that the construction contract for the New Research Building 2 (Life and Chemical Sciences and Technologies Building) has been awarded and works on site will commence shortly. The site is located at the southern side of the campus, situated South of the Lee Shau Kee Business Building and West of the Lo Ka Chung (IAS) Building (as indicated in the map below).

We anticipate that the construction works will be completed by the end of 2026. However, please be aware that temporary traffic management will be implemented during the construction phase. Proper directional signs will be placed at relevant locations to ensure the safety of all campus users. Additionally, parking facilities in the vicinity of the construction site will be closed. Please note that additional parking spaces have been made available next to the Cheng Yu Tung Building (near tennis courts No. 5 & 6).

During the construction works, noise and dust will be generated. Nevertheless, mitigation measures will be implemented to minimize the impact of the works on the campus community. We kindly ask for your understanding and tolerance of any disturbances caused by this essential project. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that we will make every effort to minimize disruptions.
