Our passion is delivering capital works projects that support the ongoing improvement of the built environment of HKUST. We do this by empowering our team of project managers to engage directly with the stakeholders of the projects in order to fully understand the project’s objectives, discuss delivery options and plan a programme that best suits their requirements.

HPC5 link bridge closure

High Performance Computational Facility - Elevated Link Bridge Closure

With the ongoing construction works for the development of the High Performance Computational Facility located near the seafront, the elevated link bridge adjacent to the construction site will be temporarily closed to ensure the safety of all campus users as the construction works progress. Alternative route to access the Tsang Shiu Tim Sports Center and Ocean Research Facility is available.

New Research Building 2

New Research Building 2 – Works to Start on Site

The construction contract for the New Research Building 2 has been awarded and works on site will commence shortly. The site is located at the southern side of the campus, situated west of the Lo Ka Chung Building (IAS). Parking facilities in the vicinity will be closed, while additional parking spaces have been made available adjacent to the Cheng Yu Tung Building.

The University celebrated the groundbreaking of its new research building, an eight-storey new landmark with a net operational floor area of approximately 5,100 square meters which will provide much-needed additional facilities for multiple disciplines in science and engineering, seeking to bring our research, industrial collaboration and translational activities to the next level.
